15 Years Ago, Ellen Had A Vision
She built a thriving organization that works to benefit everyone by:

Providing moral support,

Being a service-oriented source of information and

Providing on-going communications for all amputees and family members
Today DAN:
-
Presents programs and distributes resource information to members and the community about new materials and techniques in prosthetics
-
DAN promotes physical fitness and social interaction for a healthier lifestyle, with
DAN members give back to the community:
-
Working as peer visitors for new amputees in hospitals and rehab clinics
-
As well as being live “models” for students for UT Southwestern’s program in Prosthetics and Physical Therapy
-
Participating in the advanced research projects at UT Southwestern
